Epiphyte, erect or patent, up to 40 cm long; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous; stems slender, somewhat compressed, strongly branched, leafy, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves linear or linear-lanceolate, apex oblique, subacute, at the base subpetiolate-narrowed, 1-1.4 cm long, near the middle 0.15-0.2 cm wide; sheaths closely appressed, shiny, with few raised nerves, apical margins fimbriate with several subulate setae, 0.5-0.8 cm long. Flowers solitary, glabrous. Spathe clasping, elliptic, subacute, outside with sparsely black lines Floral bract similar, hyaline, shorter than the ovary. Sepals oblong, apiculate, 0.9 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, at the base somewhat dilated along the front margins. Petals obliquely elliptic-spathulate, obtuse, almost 1 cm long, above the middle 0.4 cm wide. Lip obovate, 0.4 cm long, above the middle 0.3 cm wide, in front rounded with short apiculum; spur quadrate, 0.2 cm long, apex somewhat emarginate. Column short, glabrous, less than half as long as the lip, clinandrium broadly triangular, obtuse, in the middle on either side with a small obtuse tooth. Anther broadly cucullate, obtusely umbonate, in front ascending, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, 0.6 cm long, with sessile glands.

Flower white, lip apex with fine grey-green dots, anther white, light brown in front.

Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
