Epiphyte, 17-20 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid, 1.2-1.5 by 0.6-0.8 cm above the base; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, elliptic or narrowly elliptic-ligulate, subacute, 6-10 by 1.3-3.1 cm near the middle; base narrowed into a petiole 2.5-3.5 cm long. Inflorescence ascending from the base, erect, rigid, with few small distant scales, to 20 cm high. Inflorescence ultimately several-flowered. Floral bracts compressed, rather densely placed, apiculate, 3 times shorter than the pedicellate ovary; dorsally with a high keel. Flowers glabrous. Sepals lanceolate, acuminate, 1.7 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, median one in the middle somewhat broader. Petals obliquely oblong-ligulate, apiculate, 0.6 cm long; below the apex on either side subdentate. Lip in outline oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, 1.4 cm long; base with 2 keels curving from the basal margins becoming close together in the middle of the lip; margins in the middle subcrenulate, in the apical half recurved. Column medium sized; stelidia short, falcate-tooth-like; column-foot incurved. Anther reniform-cucullate, umbonate, glabrous. Ovary pedicellate, glabrous, c. 1 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
