Epiphyte, creeping. Rhizome flexuose. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs subglobose, indistinctly 4-angular, 0.4-0.6 cm high and wide; 1-leaved. Leaf oblong, or elliptic-ligulate, acute or subacuminate, glabrous, 4.5-9 by 1.5-2.7 cm near the middle. Inflorescence 1-flowered, short, 1.5-2 cm long, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the ovary. Flower large, erect-patent. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, elongate-strongly acuminate, glabrous, 6 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely ovate, aristate-prolonged, 0.23 cm long. Lip lanceolate, subacute, 1.3 by 0.35 cm; base narrowly 2-auriculate; above the basal third slightly constricted; the apical part thread-like. Column short; stelidia long, subulate; column-foot somewhat incurved, rather thick. Ovary pedicellate, glabrous, c. 1 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flowers yellow, densely spotted red, especially inside.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 700 m.
