Small, 1-3 cm high terrestrial. Tuber ovoid or globose, 0.4-0.6 cm across. Stem 0.3-1.5 cm long, 3-winged, glabrous. Cataphyll tubular, 0.5-0.6 cm long, acuminate. Leaves elliptic-ovate, 1.6 by 0.7 cm, acuminate, at the base cuneate, margin crinkled-wavy, mid-rib sunken above, prominent below mainly so in basal part, basal nerves 2 on either side of mid-rib, only inner one reaching tip of leaf, outer reaching about halfway, cross-veins 6 or 7 on either side of the mid-rib, connate to inner basal nerves, venation very sparse, transverse, rather densely pellucid lenticelled. Pedicel 0.15-0.2 cm long, glabrous. Floral bract linear, 0.55-0.65 cm long, acute, glabrous. Ovary conoid-cylindrical, slightly oblique, 0.4 cm long, 6-ribbed, glabrous. Median sepal spathulate, 1.8 by 0.5 cm, claw straight, upper part hooded, rounded, 3-nerved at the base, hood 10-15-nerved with all nerves crested on outside, warty between end of crests and margin. Lateral sepals linear, but subulate at tip, sepals 0.55-0.6 cm long, petals 0.25-0.3 cm long. Lip tubular and erect in lower 0.9-1.1 cm, ventricose in frontal basal part, abruptly curved downward and widening into a 0.5 by 0.5 cm large blade, margin coarsely fimbriate, boss 0.15 by 0.25 cm, lip warty on inside along apical part of margin in a broad belt, 3-nerved at the base, 11-nerved near margin; spurs conoid, 0.2-0.25 cm long, obtuse. Leaves light green. Median sepal white. Lateral sepals and petals white with dark wine red tips. Lip white with broad wine red veins, but purple warty along apical margin.

Epiphyte in upper montane forest. Altitude 1920 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
