Epiphyte, spreading, 20-30 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs close together, subparallel to the rhizome, 0.6-0.8 by 0.2-0.25 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf elliptic-ligulate, minutely apiculate, 4--5 by 1.1-1.4 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, fascicled, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, much shorter than the ovary. Sepals elliptic, apiculate, glabrous, 0.3 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely oblong, truncate-broadly obtuse, glabrous, 0.15 cm long. Lip lanceolate-tongue-shaped, obtuse, 0.2 cm long; underneath except base and apex on either side with dense short papillae. Column short; stelidia subulate, hardly reaching the middle of the lip; column-foot at the apex somewhat incurved. Anther cucullate, apiculate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary short, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower whitish with dark red stripes. Lip dark red.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.
