Basionym: Corysanthes leucotyle

Terrestrial, very small, 2-3.5 cm high. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, puberulous. Leaf broadly ovate, acuminate, base deeply cordate, 2-2.8 cm long, below the middle 1.4-2 cm broad. Flower subsessile, erect, floral bracts lanceolate-subulate, about as long as the ovary, glabrous. Median sepal obovate-spathulate, with a ligulate claw, broadly obtuse, concave, with 5 thickened veins in upper half, 1.7 cm long. Lateral sepals linear-subulate, sharply acute, glabrous, porrect, about 0.9 cm long. Petals very similar to the lateral sepals, suberect, 2.2 cm long, glabrous, twisted towards the apex. Lip above the cucullate base expanded into a large reniform, apiculate blade with densely serrate margins, in the middle with a ring-shaped thickening, spurs very short, diverging, conical, narrowly obtuse. Column short, somewhat thickened, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, almost 0.3 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914, as Corysanthes leucotyle Schltr.).
