Small, 6 cm high terrestrial. Tuber globose, 0.2-0.3 cm across. Stem 2-3 cm high. Cataphyll funnel-shaped, 0.3 cm long, caudate-acuminate, 7-9-nerved. Leaves 5-sided-ovate, 1 by 0.7 cm, acuminate, at the base cordate, mid-rib distinct on either side but hardly prominent, basal nerves one on either side of the mid-rib, cross-veins 3 or 4 on either side of the mid-rib, connate to the basal nerve; pellucid lenticels mainly in lower part of the leaf-blade. Pedicel 0.5 cm long, glabrous. Ovary narrowly cylindrical, 0.5-0.8 cm long, 6-grooved. Median sepal spathulate, only slightly boat-shaped, 2.3 by 0.8 cm, rather obtuse, 5-nerved at the base, 13-nerved on hood, the nerves crested on inside in apical third only, finely papillate on outside of hood near tip only in an irregular crenulate band. Lateral sepals 0.65 by 0.1 cm, acute. Petals linear, ovate in basal part, 1.1 by 0.1 cm. Lip from a very short, tubular, 0.3 cm long basal part abruptly widening into a 2-lobed, 1 by 1.2 cm large blade, margin coarsely fimbriate at tip only, with 3 darker coloured ribs on either side of mid-rib and 2 or 3 longitudinal crests between the lateral nerves and mid-rib, lip entirely glabrous; spurs narrowly conoid, 0.3 cm long, obtuse. Not recorded, but apparently the lip with dark ribs on a paler background.

Probably terrestrial in upper montane forest. Altitude 3325 m.
