Epiphytic, long climbing orchid. Stems rooting at many points, slightly fractiflex, somewhat compressed, elliptic in cross-section, internodes 1.5-2 cm long, 0.7-0.9 cm diam. Leaf-sheaths covering stem, subrugulose in dry material. Leaves ligulate, unequally obtusely bilobed, coriaceous, at least 15.5 cm long, 2.3-3 cm wide. Inflorescence stout, 0.4-0.6 cm diam. at base, 37-40 cm long (peduncle 8-17 cm long; panicle 10-32 cm long), panicle branches 1-11 cm long, a few flowers open at a time per panicle branch. Floral bracts deltoid, 0.1-0.15 cm long. Pedicellate ovary subclavate, 0.5 cm long. Median sepal elliptic-cymbiform, scattered verrucose (artifact ?), obtuse, 0.5 by 0.25 cm. Lateral sepals ovate-elliptic, subacute, 0.5 by 0.25 cm. Petals oblong-elliptic, subacute, 0.4 by 0.2 cm. Lip 3-lobed, 0.4 cm long to mid-lobe tip, 0.6 cm long to spur tip; lateral lobes quadrate, erect, 0.2 cm long and wide; mid-lobe horn-shaped, the upfolded margins giving this appearance, 0.2 cm long; spur horn-shaped, obtuse, 0.4 cm long, 0.01 cm diam.; front- and back-wall calli bilabiate, minutely papillose. Flowers white, sepals and petals marked with bright purple, spur white.

Epiphyte in montane forest. Altitude 609-1158 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
