Synonyms:

Epiphytic, erect, caespitose, for the genus robust, 20-35 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Stems slender, terete, glabrous, 1-leaved, at the base covered with large, reticulate-nerved, acuminate sheaths, 15-27 cm high, 2-2.25 mm across, 1-leaved. Leaves erect, subulate, acute, adaxially slightly sulcate, terete, glabrous, as wide as the stems, 4-6.5 cm long. Inflorescences many arranged into a terminal capitulum, covered with lanceolate, acuminate scales. Bracts minute, ovate, acute, glabrous. Sepals ligulate-oblong, narrowly obtuse, in basal half sparsely puberulous, 6.5 mm long. Lateral sepals at the base extended and connate along the anterior margin; mentum sac-like, obliquely ovate, obtuse, 0.4 cm long. Petals narrowly rhombic-lanceolate, acute, oblique, glabrous, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip ligulate, in front carnose-thickened, obtuse, in basal half with slightly incurved margins, in basal fourth somewhat constricted, 7.5 mm long, above the middle 2.25 mm wide, with two thin, minutely ciliolate lamellae arising above the base, decurrent to below the middle. Column half as long as the lip, arms large, obliquely oblong; foot medium-sized. Anther subquadrate, in front minutely bidentate. Ovary subsessile, cylindrical, puberulous, 4.5 mm long.
