Synonyms:

Epiphyte, stout, to 35 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, lepidote-rough-prickly. Pseudobulbs narrowly ovoid, 2.5-4 by 0.8-1 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblong-ligulate, subacute, 15-20 by 2.8-4 cm near the middle; base narrowed into a 3-5 cm long petiole. Inflorescence c. 3-flowered, erect, with a few small, distant peduncle-scales, to 35 cm high. Floral bracts elliptic, 2 times shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flower erect, large, glabrous. Sepals lanceolate, elongate-acuminate. Median sepal 5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, narrower, outside with a high keel, c. 7 cm long. Petals obliquely lanceolate-triangular, subacute, c. 1.5 cm long. Lip fleshy, lanceolate-tongue-shaped, subobtuse, c. 1.5 cm long; in basal half in the middle with 2 thin keels, above with minute, subulate teeth. Column short; stelidia subulate, on either side with an obtuse lobule; column-foot incurved. Anther helmet-shaped, glabrous, apically emarginate. Ovary pedicellate, glabrous, c. 3.5 cm long.
