Synonyms:
Roots elongated, glabrous, filiform, flexuose. Leaves 4-5, erect-patent, narrowly lanceolate, 40 by 2-3 cm, plicate, base gradually narrowing to the petiole, apex acuminate. Inflorescence racemose, erect, 60-70 cm long, slender, terete, glabrous, peduncle-scales few, distant, acuminate, rachis secund, laxely several-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, much shorter than the ovary, apex acuminate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary 2 cm long, quickly elongating. Flowers c. 3 cm across. Dorsal sepal oblong, 2.3 cm long, apex acute. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-oblong, 1.6 cm long, apex acuminate. Petals erect, subfalcate, obliquely oblong-spathulate, 2.4 cm long, apex shortly acuminate. Lip with a narrowly oblong basal claw, blade reniform, 1.4 by 2.4 cm, spurred, concave, apex broadly obtusely bilobulate, in the sinus with a minute triangular lobule; spur curved, subclavate, 2 cm long. Column very short, the margins adnate to the claw of the lip. Anther cucullate, in front shallowy emarginate. (After Schlechter, 1905).
Sepals and petals greenish white, lip pure white.
Terrestrial in leaf-litter in hill forest. Altitude 600 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Warm-intermediate growing terrestrial, requires shaded position.
