Terrestrial, erect, shrubby, somewhat rigid, several-stemmed, 45-70 cm high, branched; rhizome very short, roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, puberulous; stems and branches erect or erect-patent, leafy, terete, somewhat rigid, entirely covered by the leaf-sheaths; leaves erect-patent, lanceolate, pointed, apex minutely bilobulate with a minute apiculum, 5-7.5 cm long, below the middle 0.8-1.4 cm wide; Inflorescence few-flowered, usually shorter than the leaves, terminal; scales and bracts lanceolate, acute, about as long as the ovary. Flowers erect-patent. Sepals ovate-oblong, acute or subacuminate, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique, at the base somewhat dilated along the front margin, mentum short, obtuse. Petals obliquely linear, acute or apiculate, about as long as the sepals. Lip 0.55 cm long, 0.35 cm wide, cuneate, in front bilobed-emarginate with a small apiculum, above the base with a forked, inside puberulous callus, the two ?legs? of the callus only slightly dilated, rounded, decurrent up to the apical third of the lip, there with a conical callus. Column short, auricles large, column-foot short. Anther reniform-cordate, obtuse, glabrous, with a cordate umbo; pollinia obliquely pyriform, unequal-sized, viscidium large quadrate. Flower rather uniformly whitish.
Terrestrial on exposed places and steep slopes in turf.. Altitude 450 m.
