Type: Schlechter 19594 (holo B, lost)

Small epiphyte. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid, 0.6-0.8 by 0.3-0.4 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf oblong-ligulate, subacute, 7.5-9.5 by 1.5-1.9 cm near the middle; base cuneate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, covered with peduncle-scales. Floral bracts apiculate, as long as the ovary. Flower erect. Sepals oblong, apiculate, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. Lateral sepals connate up to the apex, boat-shaped. Petals broadly elliptic, shortly acuminate, hardly 0.1 cm long. Lip elliptic, obtuse, glabrous, 0.28 cm long; base very shortly clawed, auriculate; margins recurved, not ciliate. Column very short; stelidia falcate-subulate; column-foot well-developed. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, sessile, 0.1 cm long, glabrous. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower dark purple with white stripes. Lip dark purple.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 850-1200 m.
