Type: Schlechter 18545 (holo B, lost)

Differs from the typical variety in the somewhat more slender habit, longer leaves, larger appendages of the leaf-sheaths, smaller flowers, the petals being narrower at the base, the distinctly 3-lobulate mid-lobe of the lip with lightly undulate margins, and in the smaller callosities on the column. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914).


Not recorded, probably the same as the typical variety (white with two red spots on the lip).

Epiphyte in lower montane forest. Altitude 1300 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
