Epiphyte, 10-20 cm high. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid-conical, 1-2 by 0.5-0.8 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, linear-ligulate, acute, 8-18 by 0.8-1.5 cm in the middle; base narrowed into a 1.4-4 cm long petiole. Inflorescence 1-flowered, 3-4 cm long, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bract very small, many times shorter than the very slender pedicel. Flower erect. Sepals oblong, subobtuse, glabrous, 1.2 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely oblong, obtuse, 0.25 cm long; margins slightly recurved, papillose-finely ciliate. Lip somewhat fleshy, oblong, obtuse, 0.7 cm long; base above grooved to the middle. Column short; stelidia obliquely triangular, subulate-apiculate, moderately large; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther quadrangular-oblongoid, in front slightly emarginate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary very long, glabrous, 4-5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower white, densely striped red. Petals spotted dark red. Lip yellowish, spotted light red.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1300 m.
