Type: Armitt s.n. (Laloki River) (lost? Not in MEL, fide Ormerod)

Glabrous, comparatively tall, to c. 45 cm long. Stem much elongated. Leaves many, elongated, broadly linear, slightly falcate, the upper one up to 17.5 by 1.2 cm, the leaves gradually decreasing in size towards the base of the stem. Inflorescence much elongated, c. 15 cm long, peduncle very short; rachis prominently angular. Flowers very numerous, closely spaced. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, somewhat acuminate. Pedicels spreading, not quite half as long as the fruit, considerably shorter than the floral bracts. Fruits obliquely-ellipsoid, with 6 narrow, membranous, longitudinal wings.
