Synonyms:
Epiphytic, pendent, up to 45 cm long. Rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Stems almost absent, inconspicuous. Leaves 4-6, linear-ensiform, acute, the middle one longest, up to 45 cm long, at the base 1.3-1.5 cm wide. Inflorescence carrying flowers up to the base, slender, densely many-flowered, c. 20 cm long, 0.4 cm diam. across the flowers. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, with lacerate-dentate margins, almost as long as the flowers. Flowers almost whorled, closely spaced, very small, the whorls not very distinct. Sepals broadly ovate, obtuse, c. 0.15 cm long. Median sepal glabrous. Lateral sepals oblique, in upper half outside here and there sparsely papillose. Petals obliquely ovate-lanceolate, obtuse, with irregular margins, sometimes subdentate. Lip 0.15 cm long, c. 0.1 cm wide, glabrous, carnose, at the base with minute and subacute auricles, oblong-subquadrate, in the middle slightly constricted, in apical fourth bilobed, the lobes slightly divergent, truncate, sinus acute, with an obtuse apiculum. Column very short, rather thick, glabrous. Anther subreniform, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, papillose, c. 0.15 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 700 m.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
