Synonyms:
Epiphytic, several-stemmed, 5-8 cm tall. Rhizome short; roots very long, flexuose. Stems erect, densely 8-12-leaved, leaf-bases overlapping. Leaves erect-patent, linear, acute or subacute, 1.5-2.5 by 0.3-0.5 cm. Inflorescence rather densely many-flowered, cylindrical, carrying flowers almost up to the base, 1.5-5 cm long, 0.5 cm diam. across the flowers. Floral bracts lanceolate, acuminate, margins lacerate, 0.15-0.2 cm long, glabrous. Flowers very small, patent. Sepals broadly elliptic, acute, glabrous, hardly 0.1 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals linear-lanceolate, obtuse, glabrous, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip at the base subquadrate, dilated into a reniform, bilobed blade, 0.1 cm long, glabrous. Column short, glabrous, rather thick. Ovary cylindrical, glabrous, including the pedicel to 0.2 cm long. (After Gilli, 1983)
Leaves pale green. Flowers pale yellow.
Epiphyte in upper montane forest.
Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
Cool growing epiphyte.
