Epiphyte, pendulous, unbranched, to 70 cm long. Rhizome stem-like. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulbs c. 2 cm apart, cylindrical, c. 1 by 0.4 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf ovate-lanceolate, subacute, 4.5-6 by 1.3-1.8 cm below the middle; base shortly contracted. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, fascicled, developing in succession, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts distinctly shorter than the ovary. Sepals ovate, subacute, glabrous, 0.55 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals transverse, in front shortly angular, on either side 1-armed; each arm with 3 subulate, acute, distinctly stalked, very minutely papillose appendages, in between in the middle with 4 similar appendages; petals at base 0.15 cm wide, with the spread appendages 0.4 cm long. Lip fleshy, somewhat laterally compressed, oblong, obtuse, 0.2 cm long; base cordate; in basal half above 2-ribbed; in apical half sparsely verruculose. Column short, rather thick; stelidia short, semiorbicular; column-foot somewhat incurved. Ovary shortly pedicellate, subclavate, glabrous, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
