Type: Schlechter 18627 (syn B, lost; iso BO, E, L, NSW, S); 19066 (syn B, lost; iso E, L, NSW, S)

Differs from the typical variety in the leaves being broadest above the middle, in that the inflorescence is as long as or a little longer than the leaf, in the somewhat smaller lateral lobes of the lip, in the slightly wider mid-lobed, in the more strongly hollowed out, almost bilobate callus on the lip, in the somewhat shorter column, and the in front almost 3-lobulate anther. Flowers green, lip at the base brown.

Epiphyte in montane forest; 1100 to 1400 m.

Malesia (New Guinea, endemic).
