Epiphytic, erect, 13-30 cm high. Rhizome short; roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ancipitous, obcuneate, closely spaced 1.8-3 cm long, at the base 0.7-1 cm wide, 1-leaved. Leaves erect, narrowed at the base, elliptic-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, thin-textured, veined, articulated, 8-23 cm long, in apical half 1.5-3.5 cm wide. Inflorescence terminal, erect, somewhat terete, with 3-4 very small, distant, lanceolate, acuminate peduncle-scales; rachis laxly many-flowered, elongated-cylindrical. Floral bracts erect-patent, acuminate, slightly more than half as long as the pedicellate, ovary. Flowers patent, not resupinate. Median sepal oblong-lanceolate, acute, 0.4 cm long. Lateral sepals as large, subfalcate-oblique. Petals narrowly linear, obtuse, a little shorter than the sepals. Lip at the base cuneate, obovate, 0.5 cm long, in apical half 0.3 cm wide, the basal margins thickened into two obtuse lobes, in the middle with minutely ciliate margins, in apical third serrulate, at the apex bilobed. Column lightly curved 0.2 cm long, towards the apex on either side triangular dentate. Anther rounded. (After Schlechter, 1905)
