Terrestrial, erect, 40-55 cm high. Rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, puberulous. Pseudobulbs slender, stalk-like, cylindrical, veined, 8-10 cm long, c. 0.4 cm diam., 1-leaved. Leaves erect-patent or suberect, linear-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowed towards the base, 30-50 cm long, near the middle 2-3 cm wide. Inflorescence slender, pedunculate, laxly 10-20-flowered, erect, shorter than the leaves; peduncle glabrous, angular, usually without peduncle-scales, 10-13 cm long. Floral bracts erect-patent, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, much shorter than the pedicellate, ovary. Flowers erect-patent. Sepals strongly reflexed, lanceolate-ligulate, apiculate, glabrous, c. 1.3 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals strongly reflexed, obliquely linear, acute, glabrous, as long as the sepals. Lip curved, glabrous, above the narrow base suborbicular, as long as the sepals, near the middle of the blade c. 1.2 cm wide, apiculate, with minutely and densely serrulate margins, inside at the base with a minute median callus. Column slightly curved, with winged margins, at the base dilated, 0.5 cm long, glabrous. Anther ovate, in front prolonged, oblong, obtuse, glabrous.
