Epiphytic, erect, slender. 18-27 cm high. Rhizome short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, becoming glabrous with age. Pseudobulbs closely spaced, swollen at the base, stem-like narrowed, laterally compressed, 1-leaved, up to 3.5 cm long, at the base to 0.5 cm diam. Leaf erect, linear, shortly acuminate, gradually somewhat narrowed towards the base, glabrous, 14-20 cm long, near the middle 0.4-0.5 cm wide. Inflorescence erect, slender, straight or nearly so, ancipitous, without peduncle-scales, about as long as the leaves; rachis densely several-flowered, ancipitous, two-ranked, up to 1.5 cm long. Floral bracts distichous, erect-patent, ovate, keeled outside, overlapping, almost as long as the ovary. Flowers erect-patent. Sepals reflexed, ovate-oblong, apiculate, glabrous. 0.5 cm long. Later sepals oblique. Petals obliquely oblanceolate-spathulate, subobtuse, glabrous, about as long as the sepals. Lip at the base broadly quadrate, geniculate-decurved, as long as the petals, at the base 0.3 cm wide, in apical half 0.25 cm wide, glabrous, in apical half slightly narrower, broadly quadrate, inside minutely papillose, apex truncate-broadly obtuse with a small apiculum, at the base with a large, quadrate, obtuse apiculate callus, in front of this with two small, obtuse calli. Column short, broadly ovate, clinandrium somewhat contracted, less than half as long as the petals. Anther subreniform, broadly obtuse, glabrous. Ovary with pedicel glabrous, 0.9 cm long. Epiphyte in montane forest; 1200 to 2200 m.
