Epiphytic, slender, up to 35 cm high. Rhizome long, decumbent, terete; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs 4-5.5 cm apart, somewhat swollen at the base, stem-like, somewhat compressed, 1-leaved, 4-5 cm long, at the base c. 0.5 cm diam. Leaf erect, linear, acute, somewhat narrowed towards the base, 20-25 cm long, near the middle 0.7-1.1 cm wide. Inflorescence erect, slender, straight or nearly so, ancipitous, without peduncle-scales, glabrous, about as long as the leaves; rachis densely several- to many-flowered, up to 5 cm long, ancipitous, distichous. Floral bracts glumaceous-overlapping, two-ranked, erect-patent, ovate, acuminate, compressed, keeled outside, as long as the pedicellate, ovary. Flowers patent, glabrous. Sepals reflexed, oblong, apiculate, 0.4 cm long. Later sepals oblique. Petals erect, obliquely oblong-ligulate, obtuse, somewhat narrowed towards the base, somewhat shorter than the sepals. Lip at the base subreniform-transverse, geniculate-decurved, as long as the petals, above the base 0.3 cm wide, in apical half slightly narrowed, reniform, apiculate, glabrous, at the base with a large quadrate, obtusely apiculate callus, in front of this with two small, obliquely conical, subacute calli. Column half as long as the petals, quadrate, clinandrium somewhat contracted. Ovary and pedicel glabrous, c. 1.2 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1911-1914)
