Probably terrestrial. Roots elongated; rhizome thick, to more than 5 cm long, 1 cm across. Stem 1 cm long, 2- to 4-leaved. Leaves herbaceous, 3-nerved, linear, acuminate, l7-30 by 0.8-1.2 cm. Peduncle scales concealed by the leaf base, lanceolate, acuminate, 3 cm long. Inflorescence erect, 20 cm long, peduncle 11 cm long, laxly c. 8-flowered. Floral bracts linear-lanceolate, acuminate, 1 cm long. Sepals linear, obtuse, 1 by 0.1 cm. Petals as long as the sepals but narrower. Lip hastate, claw linear-oblong, blade at the base broadly hastate, ovate, cuspidate, crenulate, 1.1 cm long, at the base 0.6 cm wide, at the base with a broad keel which terminates in a raised transverse rib on the claw. Column 0.5 cm long, curved, with large apical wings, apex broad and thick. Pedicel with ovary slender, 2 cm long. (After Ridley, 1916)
