Terrestrial, erect, small, 8-17 cm high. Rhizome very short; roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, puberulous. Pseudobulbs short, usually oblongoid, somewhat carnose, 1-2 cm long, near the middle 0.5-1 cm diam., 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent, oblong or elliptic, shortly acuminate or acute, glabrous on both sides, 3.5-7 cm long, near the middle 1.7-3 cm wide. Inflorescence pedunculate, erect, more or less laxly 5-10-flowered, almost twice surpassing the leaves; peduncle somewhat terete, glabrous, up to 6 cm long. Floral bracts erect-patent, lanceolate, acuminate, usually shorter than the ovary, rarely almost as long. Flowers erect-patent. Sepals patent or pendent, narrowly oblong, obtuse, glabrous, 0.6 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely linear, obtuse, glabrous, almost as long as the sepals. Lip at the base shortly subcuneate, suborbicular, apex shortly emarginate, margins in apical half minutely crenulate, glabrous, at the base with a short, minutely trilobulate callus, 0.6 cm long, near the middle 0.6 cm wide. Column short, apex slightly incurved, with short auricles, at the base dilated, glabrous, 0.3 cm long. Anther suborbicular, obtuse, glabrous. Ovary and pedicel glabrous, c. 0.6 cm long.
