Basionym: Monochilus nervosus

Stem creeping at the base, 15-25 cm long, for the greater part without leaves, apical part ascending, rather fleshy. Leaves 2.5-5 cm long, acute, 5-7-nerved. Peduncle 5-12.5 cm long, slender to rather stout, with 2 lanceolate peduncle-scales; rachis 1-20 cm long, laxly to rather densely flowered. Floral bract equalling the pilose ovary, lanceolate. Sepals 0.4-0.6 cm long. Lateral sepals ovate, obtuse, patent. Petals half-ovate, acuminate. Lip at base short subsaccate, in the middle with a narrower, claw-like mesochile; the lobules of the mid-lobe only a little smaller than the sepals; the basal sac inside slightly septate, with two hook-like, recurved appendages. Column very short, at the base in front with 2 slightly prominent calli; rostellum bifid. Pollinia pyriform; caudicle large, blade-like; viscidium elongated. (After Hooker, 1893)
