Type: Bogor cult. (Lorentz Exp., Rachmat 59) s.n. (holo BO).
Synonyms:
Rhizome creeping, branching. Pseudobulbs at an acute angle to the rhizome, 1-1.5 cm apart, 1-leaved, elongated ovoid-conical, 6-7 angled, 2.2-2.75 by 0.65-0.78 cm. Leaves erect, lanceolate, 4-6.5 by 1-1.4 cm, coriaceous, apex obtuse, bilobulate. Inflorescences arising in fascicles of 3-9 from the apex of the pseudobulb, 1-flowered; spathe 0.65 cm long. Pedicel 1.25-1.4 cm long; ovary 0.2 cm long, 6-grooved, subverruculose. Flower c. 1.5-1.9 cm across. Sepals and mentum sparsely verrucose outside. Dorsal sepal triangular-lanceolate, 1 cm by 3 mm, apex narrowly obtuse. Lateral sepals obliquely triangular-lanceolate, 1 cm by 5.6 mm, apex acute; mentum 0.45 cm long, obtuse. Petals recurved, linear-spathulate-lanceolate, 0.9 cm by 1 mm, apex acute. Lip 3-lobed, 1 by 0.38 cm, with 3 keels; free part of lateral lobes short, triangular, 0.6 mm long; midlobe oblong-subobovate-elliptic, 0.55 by 0.33 cm, undulate, papillose, apiculate. Column 0.15 cm long, stelidia dentate, filament subulate; column-foot 0.43 cm long, outside with 2 longitudinal rows of 8-12 small warts.

Flower white, lip yellowish white, at base of midlobe and below spotted brown-purple, midlobe in the centre yellow.
Presumably epiphyte in rainforest in the lowlands.

Dendrobium tuberculatum J.J.Sm. belongs in the affinity of Dendrobium chrysotropis Schltr., Dendrobium tropidophorum Schltr., etc. It is characterised by 2 longitudinal rows of 8-12 small warts on the back side of the column-foot.
