Synonyms:
Epiphytic herb. Rhizome terete, strongly sclerified, 0.23 cm thick. Roots terete, fleshy, 0.25 cm thick. Stems close together, complanate, basally tereteto 107 by 0.2-0.5 cm, leafy in upper half; internodes 1.3-3 cm long. Leaves oblong, 3.6-4.85 by 1.1-1.25 cm, coriaceous, smooth; sheaths smooth, striate, 1-3 cm long, terminating in a broadly triangular 0.3-0.5 cm long lobule opposite the insertion of the leaf blade; apex unequally obtusely bilobed. Inflorescence emerging through leaf sheath about halfway along its length; peduncle very short. Pedicellate ovary obconical-subclavate, 0.6 cm long. Median sepal oblong, 1.35 by 0.45 cm; apex obtuse; 7-veined. Lateral sepals obliquely ovate-elliptic, 1.5 by 0.7 mm; apex obtuse; 7-veined; mentum 0.65 cm long. Petals oblong, upper margin narrowed near the base, 1.3 by 0.45 cm; apex obtuse; 3-nerved, main nerves branched. Lip fleshy, 3-lobed, 0.8-0.85 by 0.35 cm (not spread); hypochile rectangular, 0.4 by 0.35 cm (not spread), with thin, narrow, in front oblique sidelobes; epichile ovate, 0.45 by 0.3 mm, with subacute apex, anterior edge obliquely beveled, inside raised edges with carunculate accretions, otherwise glabrous. Column obliquely conical, 0.3 cm long; column foot 0.65 cm long. Capsule not seen.

Sepals outside cream-coloured, inside dotted purple. Petals cream-coloured with numerous purple dots on both sides. Lip densely dotted purple.
Epiphyte on branches of a tall tree in lower montane forest. Altitude 2150-2195 m.

Dendrobium pullenianum differs from D. corticicola Schltr. in the wider leaves (1.1-1.25 versus 0.6-0.8 cm), larger sepals (1.35-1.5 versus. 0.7 cm), cream-coloured flowers with many purple spots (versus pure sulphur yellow) and a glabrous lip epichile with some carunculate accretions on the upper surface (versus minutely papillose).
