Synonyms:
Rhizome short. Pseudobulbs 0-0.4 cm apart, 1-leaved, at base ovoid, 0.85-1.2 by 0.5-0.6 cm, upper part very slender, 2-8.5 cm by 0.8-1.2 mm. Leaves linear, 6-8.5 by 0.4 cm, coriaceous, apex equally bidentate. Inflorescences 1-flowered, spathe narrowly linear, 1.2-1.5 cm long; peduncle 0.85 cm long. Pedicel 3.5 cm long; ovary 0.3 cm long. Flower c. 4 cm across. Dorsal sepal 2.6 cm by 3.4 mm; mentum 0.6 cm long, obtuse. Petals 2.5 cm by 1.3 mm. Lip 3-lobed, 1 by 0.4 cm, with two papillose keels, terminating on the midlobe in two falcate, porrect teeth, the midlobe with a verrucose callus, in front of which a second, smaller hairy callus is present; lateral lobes short; midlobe 0.5 by 0.4 cm. Column 0.25 cm long.

Sepals and petals white, apices golden yellow, lip white, lateral lobes with dark purple margins and stripes, the largest callus on the midlobe yellow, the smaller yellowish-white.
Presumably epiphyte in lowland rainforest.

Dendrobium mamberamense J.J.Sm. is closely related to Dendrobium scotiiforme J.J.Sm., from which it differs in the broader leaves.
