Synonyms:
Epiphyte, small, 20-30 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs ovoid-conical, 2-3.5 by 1-1.5 cm below the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf elliptic-ligulate, acuminate, glabrous, 20-26 by 2.5-4 cm near the middle; base gradually narrowed into the short petiole. Inflorescences 1-flowered, short, 1.5-2 cm long, close together; peduncle-scales few. Floral bract cucullate, apiculate, much shorter than the ovary. Flower erect. Sepals ovate, obtuse, stellate-pitted, 0.8 cm long. Median sepal with minutely papillose-finely ciliate margins. Lateral sepals with the base of the facing margins somewhat dilated. Petals obliquely linear-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 0.35 cm long. Lip curved, fleshy, ovate tongue-shaped, obtuse, 0.5 cm long; underneath very minutely papillose. Column short, glabrous; stelidia lanceolate-triangular, subobtuse; column-foot incurved. Anther oblongoid-cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary very slender, glabrous, 2-2.3 cm long. Flower green, densely spotted violet. Lip brown, lightly spotted violet.
Epiphyte in montane forest; 1800-2200 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
