Synonyms:
Epiphyte, very small, appressed to the bark. Rhizome short. Roots filiform, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs inconspicuous, cylindrical; 1-leaved. Leaf patent, oblong, subobtuse, 0.4-0.8 by 0.2-0.3 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, 0.3 cm high, erect, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts apiculate, as long as the ovary. Flower small for the section, not resupinated. Sepals lanceolate, glabrous, hardly exceeding 0.2 cm. Lateral sepals subobtuse, connate to the apex. Petals obliquely lanceolate, sharply acute, glabrous, 0.15 cm long. Lip oblong-ligulate, obtuse, 0.18 cm long; base minutely auriculate; from base to apex at the upper side median with a thickened midrib; margins ciliate with long, dense, patent, at the top finely knobbed hairs. Column short; stelidia triangular, subacute; column-foot very short. Anther broadly conical-cucullate, glabrous. Ovary cylindrical, sessile, glabrous, 0.05 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)
Flower violet-red or violet-brown. Lip dark purple.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 800 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
