Synonyms:
Epiphyte, creeping or pendulous, to 20 cm long. Rhizome elongated, somewhat terete, pseudobulbs distant beset with, rooting. Roots fillformibus elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs distant, the base appressed to the rhizome, ascending, slender, to the apex hardly narrowed, terete, glabrous, 2-2.5 by to 0.4 cm above the base, at the apex by 0.2 cm, 1-leaved. Leaf erect-patent, lanceolate-acuminate, hardly coriaceous, 5-7.5 by 1-1.5 cm below the middle; base narrowed into a short, 0.5-0.7 cm long petiole. Inflorescences slender, usually numerous, filiform, glabrous, 4-6 cm long; 1-flowered. Floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, 2 times shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Flowers erect or suberect, rather small in the genus. Sepals narrowly lanceolate, acute or acuminate, glabrous, 0.9 cm long. Lateral sepals oblique. Petals obliquely lanceolate, acuminate, subfalcate, 0.4 cm long. Lip narrowly tongue-shaped-obtuse, curved, fleshy, glabrous, below the middle somewhat constricted, 0.8 by hardly 0.15 cm near the middle; underneath rounded. Column short; clinandrium on either side with an incurved, subulate tooth. Anther cucullate-helmet-shaped, in front notched. Ovary slender pedicellate, 0.6-0.7 cm long, glabrous. Flower golden yellow. Petals spotted brown. Lip red-brown.
Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 759-1300 m.
Malesia (New Guinea).
Intermediate growing epiphyte.
