Epiphyte, 15-18 cm high. Rhizome very short. Roots filiform, elongated, flexuose, glabrous. Pseudobulbs cylindrical, 2.5-4 by 0.4-0.65 cm near the middle; 1-leaved. Leaf erect, oblong-ligulate, obtuse, glabrous, 6.5-14 by 1.8-2.6 cm near the middle; base narrowed. Inflorescence 1-flowered, short, hardly 1 cm long, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts very small, many times shorter than the pedicel and ovary. Flowers erect. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, acute, 1.5 cm long, glabrous. Lateral sepals falcate-oblique. Petals obliquely ovate, obtuse, 0.43 cm long; apical half very minutely papillose-puberulous. Lip fleshy, ovate tongue-shaped, obtuse, almost as long as the petals; at the base with the margins on both sides of the keel glandular-finely ciliate. Column short; stelidia subulate, acute; column-foot somewhat incurved. Anther quadrangular-cucullate, broadly obtuse, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary very slender, 3-3.5 cm long. Flower pale yellowish striped violet-pink. Petals dark red. Lip brownish with violet keels.

Epiphyte in lower montane forest; 1000 m.
