Type: Schlechter 18509 (holo B, lost)

Epiphyte, spreading, curved, 15-20 cm long. Rhizome stem-like, curved, covered with sheaths. Roots filiform, glabrous. Pseudobulb close together, cylindrical, subparallel to the rhizome, 0.5-0.9 by 0.25-0.35 cm; 1-leaved. Leaf ligulate, obtuse, or minutely apiculate, somewhat narrowed towards the base, 4-5.5 by 0.6-0.8 cm near the middle. Inflorescences 1-flowered, very short, with a few small peduncle-scales. Floral bracts much shorter than the pedicellate ovary. Sepals oblong, apiculate, glabrous, 0.55 cm long; the lateral ones oblique. Petals obliquely ligulate-oblong, very obtuse, glabrous, 0.2 cm long; above the base the front margin somewhat dilated. Lip fleshy, oblongoid, strongly obtuse, 0.3 cm long; base somewhat truncate; upper side except the middle more ore less densely covered with wart-like, sessile papillae. Column short; stelidia subulate, exceeding the middle of the lip. Anther cucullate, glabrous. Pedicel and ovary short, glabrous, incurved, 0.5 cm long. (After Schlechter, 1913)


Flower outside yellowish brown. Petals white striped carmine red. Lip pale violet-pink.

Epiphyte in lowland forest; 400 m.
