Synonyms:
Epiphytic herbs. Roots branching. Rhizome creeping. Pseudobulbs fleshy, with few internodes, ovoid to fusiform, the base covered by scale leaves sheaths; apex with 1-3 leaves. Leaves conduplicate, coriaceous; leaf sheath broad; blade at the base petiole-like. Inflorescences terminal or from the apical nodes, racemose; peduncle without sterile bracts; floral bracts shorter than or as long as the pedicel. Flowers resupinate or not, remaining rather closed, hairy or glabrous. Ovary glabrous or pubescent. Median sepal free. Lateral sepals obliquely triangular; mentum conical. Petals free, smaller than the sepals. Labellum entire or 3-lobed, recurved; lateral lobes erect; midlobe entire; callus consisting of 2 or 3 ridges . Column curved; pollinia 8 in two groups, clavate, each group attached by caudicles to its own viscidium.
