Plants forming dense tufts. Stems rather short. Leaf blades not articulated with the sheaths. Inflorescences glabrous, with a distinct elongated peduncle. Flowers small. Lip simple, it is apex rarely 2-lobed or split in 2.

Epiphytes on stand-alone trees in lowland areas with grass vegetation or coastal arees with a dry period, one species known from lower hill forest. Altitude sea level to 500 m.
