Genus Liparis section Genyglossum Type species: Liparis truncicola Schltr.
Synonyms:
Leaves more or less leathery, duplicate, articulated with the pseudobulb, leaving a clean scar when shed. Inflorescence terminal; floral bracts not distichous, usually not closely spaced. Flowers several to many opening at the same time, gradually more opening. Lip 3-lobed near the base.
