Glossary Term: Symplesiomorphic
Plesiomorphic and shared with other taxa. A symplesiomorphic character state is a character state which occurs in at least two taxa in a relevant part of the phylogeny of those taxa.

Symplesiomorphic

It is important to note that in a cladogram only comprising these 5 species (so excluding t1) the character states 1, 2, and 3 would be called symplesiomorphic, in the current cladogram they are synapomorphic.
